Ok, your #LifeInBag flat lay exposé*. In 1 sentence, please explain.

Incredibly tidy or incredibly messy.  


Sparro is a testament to high flying females known for their love and dedication to work, and working out. But also…to the one who may have been known to arrive at the gym with her top on inside-out (or backwards – sometimes both). Sound familiar?

When I was a TV reporter I went to work with no bra on one day.  Just walked out of the house, no bra.  Just like that.  As my mother always says, ‘slow down and focus on what you’re doing right now!’  It’s true, I think in our busy lives we forget that sometimes.


We love working out for many reasons, but mostly because a solid sweat gets us offline, sharpens our focus and gives us the confidence and energy to smash some serious life goals. Tell us about your current targets (career, life or otherwise).

Right now I’m obsessed with Pilates and am trying to master that.  It has given me so much strength for my weight training.  I’ve seen big increases and I really want to get strong.  My husband (who owns a gym) is taking a big group of people over for the New York Marathon next year.  I’m just working out whether I’ll be in support crew or participating!  

Career wise, I’m really enjoying the mix of work that’s coming my way.  I think it’s called a ‘Portfolio Career,’ where you have your finger in a lot of different pies.  That’s my jam.  From guest co-hosting the Triple-M Weekenders to media training, to speaking about mental health – my weeks always look very different.  For me, working 9-5 Monday to Friday is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole! Life is so good for me now that I’ve realised that.

The daily workout. AM, PM or somewhere in between?

EVERY DAY, whenever I can squeeze it in! If I can’t get to the gym or pilates, I have a bike at home and an app from the US where you can stream live spin classes.  So when my toddler goes to sleep during the day, I do a class on a spin bike my husband bought for me when I was pregnant.  It has been a lifesaver.  I’m a better human when I exercise every day!


Your #LifeInBag breakfast of champions looks like …

Eggs in some form.  If I eat toast, cereal or anything starchy I’m hungry for the rest of the day!


Canned tuna for lunch on the go. Legendary, or LEAVE IT BEHIND?

Food is one of the great pleasures of life and I wouldn’t waste such opportunity on a can of tuna!


Seriously smart, understated, Scandi-style design gets our wings flapping. What destination, space or event has recently inspired you?

I am house/real estate/ obsessed!  

I love seeing inside homes and often walk around Paddington (in Sydney) checking out the houses and how they’ve been altered.  We’re currently renovating our terrace and I’m so excited about the transformation.  We’ve got a fantastic architect who creates a special ‘atmosphere’ in his projects.  I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Any amazing products, brands or things you’re loving because they ‘ease the load’, minimised tailspins or saved you from ye old form-function compromise? 

I recently had BBL laser on my face for rejuvenation and it’s a game changer.  My skin has never been so fresh.  Most of the time I no longer wear foundation or just a small amount if I do.  It’s like I’m 15 again!  

I use the Headspace app for a ten minute meditation when I can.  And I order dinner through Uber Eats waaayyyy too often.

Back yourself and make sure what you’re doing in and outside of work aligns with your values.  Stay true to what you believe.  Acting with integrity is everything.
