Hold up High Flyer. This weeks Sparro Spotlight is on...
BARED - Welcome! Pull up a pew (or perhaps let’s walk and talk - you are delightfully comfy after all!). We first clapped eyes on you a few months back, but we know you’ve been around for a while now. We love nothing more than an Aussie high-flyer, so tell us - where / when / WHY did it all begin?
I suppose it really all began about 17 years ago when I began practising as a podiatrist and quickly started to see a gap in the market for shoes that I could recommend that I would actually want to wear myself. After about three years of developing my first range of shoes I launched Bared in 2008 and haven’t looked back.
At the core of Sparro’s product development is the promise of delivering on both form and function (because a busy woman forced to compromise between style and utility is a #tailspin we all want to avoid). Can you relate?I can absolutely relate. Bared is about empowering women (and men). We believe that life is too short to wear shoes that hurt but we also don’t think that style should never have to be compromised. We all deserve to look at feel great.
You’re predominantly known for your super stylish range of women’s shoes, but there’s more to your offering, right? The two main points of difference in Bared shoes are that they all have our supportive biomechanical footbed and that I sample our shoes to death to make sure that they are really comfortable. The factories that I work with can never believe how many sample of the one shoe that I will make them make as most brands don't actually care about how the shoes feel at all. We repeat many of our styles season in and season out and are often changing little things to perfect the feel of the shoe.
If you HAD to name drop, tell us who’s enlisted you to ease their daily #LifeInBag load …One of the exciting parts of the business now is seeing so many cool influencers in our shoes. We have models, bloggers, actors, musicians and sports stars from all around the world that now have a pair or two Bared shoes in their wardrobe.
Any CARE tips on how we can get the most out of you?All leather shoes need a little bit of love and care to keep them looking good. It really depends on which type of leather a shoe is made from as each has a unique set of products that you should use.
Best place to acquire so we can add you to our #LifeInBag arsenal? We ship worldwide from our website www.bared.com.au

Finally, where can we find out more about Bared Footwear? Our social handles are always to most engaging way to stay in tune with all things Bared
